Dr. Karl Jobst of Grove is pleased to announce the significant new investment in dental technology his dental clinic has purchased. Jobst spent over $150,000 dollars in dental technology he believes is revolutionizing the way dentistry is practiced. In today's society more and more things are becoming digital, its all around us dentistry is no different. The purchase included several Schick digital sensors which replace x-ray film.More intra-oral cameras which allow us to take pictures and place them on our TV screen or monitor. The bulk of the purchase came in the form of the CEREC 3-D technology which uses a camera to take a picture of a tooth and make a porcelain crown or filling. This eliminates the need for a second visit and having to send a model to a dental lab. The fillings and crowns are made live so patients leave with them in place. The technology was developed by German company Sirona. More can be learned by visiting www.cereconline.com
