Oral sedation provides a level of sedation greater than that of nitrous oxide and utilizes a pharmacologic agent such as Valium. Oral sedation is very effective and very safe when utilized properly.
We do not use strictly any one specific agent. Instead we look at the individual's needs and the length of the procedure to be done to determine which agent to use. With oral sedation, you will need to make sure you have a ride available for transportation home and you will need to rest after the procedure. |
