| Nitrous Oxide, or Laughing Gas, has been used for over 100 years. It is very safe, and is used widely today in dentistry. We have nitrous oxide available in all of our treatment rooms. Nitrous oxide is simply breathed in by the patient, and it causes a feeling of relaxation and well being. When the treatment is finished, the nitrous oxide is removed and the patient breathes out the gas within 2-3 minutes. It is then safe for the person to drive, and resume normal activities. |
